Understanding the basic concepts of enemy warfare and how he operates in deception and lies is important to help bring freedom to the Body of Christ. This is not fighting the enemy by charging him. It's understanding how Intimacy with Christ and letting His intimacy defend us is key. Trauma blocks this intimacy with strongholds and heartguards.
The Hebrew word for stronghold is "misgav." Misgavs were hiding places of safety in the Old Testament. These deceptive hiding places do not provide true safety but keep us living in bondage with destructive thought patterns.
God created us fearfully and wonderfully! We are a unique combination of a body (house of the Holy Spirit), soul (mind, will, emotions), spirit (our God connection) and heart. The heart can be "desperately evil" or we can live with the heart that Jesus gave us, our ideal place of freedom.
